The Engineer is an integrated member of the Management Information Technology and System (MITS) Office and is responsible for supporting education information requests from all university business areas, including:

1. Trace, review, implement and promote academic project;

2. Support educational hardware and teaching room rebuilding;

3. Support to build academic research lab and studio;

4. Support learning and teaching software in teaching room and computer lab;

5. Support IT equipment in classrooms/computer labs, including computer, projector, A/V, and     network;

6. Support academic learning and teaching services;

7. Support research project (TDF, RDF, SURF, NSFC, etc.) and research institution of university;

8. Support High Performance Computing platform;

9. Support IT training, workshop and seminar;

10. Collect and research new educational technology and academic platform;

11. Take part in Year 1 pre-induction teaching;

12. Support Academic Committee and Group;

13. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills and Knowledge

1. Familiar with Linux, PHP and MySQL

2. Familiar with computer systems, software and IT services;

3. Experience with management of IT project;

4. Experience with IT teaching and training;

5. Good ability to study and research new education and IT technology;

6. English level of CET-6 or above, fluent communication with foreign staff;

7. Good ability of customer services and language communication;

8. Ability to work independently and good teamwork.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent education;

2. Oversea education background or working experiences would be a plus;

3. At least 3 years work experience with computer teaching or training or at least 5 years work experience with IT project.
